Background
I am a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Previously, I was an academic in Computer Science at the University of Hull, UK. My research focuses on trustworthy and dependable AI, particularly AI safety, reliability, distribution shift, runtime monitoring, and safety assurance. I have contributed to funded and international research projects with collaborators across the UK, Europe, and Asia, spanning healthcare and biomedical AI, cybersecurity, intelligent systems, and maritime safety.
Research Interests
My research interests include trustworthy and dependable AI, AI safety and reliability, distribution shift and runtime monitoring, robustness and uncertainty, safety assurance, biomedical and healthcare AI, and interdisciplinary applications of AI in safety-critical systems.
